CS Police and Brazos Crime Stoppers Initiative

The College Station Police Department, as part of on-going efforts to increase and improve communication with citizens, has announced a new crime-fighting tool. Through work by the College Station Police Department Community Enhancement Unit (CEU), Information Technology Department and Office of Public Communications, along with a partnership with Brazos County Crime-Stoppers, citizens will be able to submit tips by clicking a link displayed on outgoing Police Department e-mails. The icon, shown below, should be visible on all devices and will allow anyone to submit anonymous tips directly to Crime-Stoppers simply by clicking on it and filling out the tip information sheet.

Should you submit a tip, you don't reveal your name and Brazos County Crime Stoppers will pay a cash reward of up to $1,000 if the information leads to an arrest or any seizure of stolen property and narcotics.

The College Station Police Department says it hopes citizens will use this new tool to help achieve departmental goals to:

• Reduce the Fear of Crime

• Improve the Overall Quality of Life in the Community

• Build and Maintain Effective Partnerships
