The American Heart Association celebrates its annual Brazos Valley Heart Ball on Feb. 23 at Miramont Country Club. The Heart of Gold black-tie optional event includes a dinner, dancing, silent and live auctions, raffle, and musical entertainment.
The survivor honoree, Halle, is a local 2-year-old who had her first open heart surgery when she was only 3 days old. Halle and her family will be at the Heart Ball to share her incredible story.
The annual Heart Ball is a celebration that contributes toward AHA’s many successes in fighting heart disease and stroke through research, education, and outreach. This work has led to extraordinary advances in cardiovascular health and a decline in heart-related deaths for the past 50 years.
The Heart Ball campaign raises more than $71 million nation-wide annually, allowing the AHA to fund cardiovascular and stroke research on a scale second only to the federal government. The AHA’s successes are made possible thanks in large part to the generosity and leadership of local participants. The Brazos Valley Heart Ball attracts several hundred of the city and state’s community leaders in medicine and business.
The 2019 Brazos Valley Heart Ball is presented by the College Station Medical Center.
