The event proceeds will benefit Mercy Project’s work to bring “justice, mercy, and freedom” to children trafficked into slavery on Lake Volta in Ghana, Africa. Red Carpet Casino Night is a fancy night out for freedom that begins at 7pm with an array of dessert and treats, $20,000 in casino chips for game play, and all the popular table games including blackjack, craps, roulette and Texas Hold ’Em. Knowledgeable and entertaining dealers will be ready to help all gaming skill levels. Organizers say there will be exclusive items up for bid in a high-energy live auction with live music to keep the night rolling. The community is invited to attend Red Carpet Casino night, now in its third year. Both long-time supporters and those unfamiliar with Mercy Project are all encouraged to attend. The event is scheduled to conclude at 11pm. Expand “We want people to have an exciting night out and feel good knowing they are also supporting a great cause,” says founder and CEO Chris Field. “Mercy Project has rescued 67 children from slavery over the past five years, but our ultimate goal is to remove the structures that cause these children to be sold into slavery in the first place.” Field says casino night first and foremost was created to serve as a unique and fun community event that everyone can enjoy. The event also aims to educate and inform people who have never heard of Mercy Project. Just attending the event will help create freedom and new life for children in Ghana. “I know that great things happen when people join with others in giving of themselves,” says Field. “The spirit of giving is exactly the pulse of the Bryan/College Station community. That’s been proven to us every day since we began.” Back to Search Results
