5th Annual Premiere Market: Shop in Support of the Symphony

With Mother’s Day, Easter, spring weddings, and graduation season coming up, you might be in search of new clothes, accessories, gifts, or just something fun to do. The 5th Annual Premiere Market is bringing a unique shopping experience to Bryan College Station, including boutique-quality, brand name items and gourmet food.

“It has a lot of things that we don’t get every day here,” says Premiere Market Cochair Jennifer Fredericks. “We bring together local and out-of-town vendors so that people have the opportunity to buy things they can’t get every day.”

At the Brazos County Expo Complex on March 31 and April 1, everyone is welcome to come shop with a $5 two-day shopping pass.

Premiere Market will bring a whirlwind of clothing, jewelry, upscale crafts, gifts, children’s educational toys, and various gourmet food vendors, according to Fredericks.

According to www.bvso.org, all the proceeds will benefit the cultural and educational programs of the Brazos Valley Symphony Orchestra, a nonprofit 501 (c)(3) arts organization.

“We need to support the arts,” says Fredericks. “I don’t know a lot about music, but I feel passionately about the symphony because it’s pretty amazing for a town of our size to have this size symphony. It is something unique that attracts jobs and people looking to move to [B/CS].”

Premiere Market began when two BVSO board members were looking for a unique fundraiser other than a ball or gala, according to Fredericks.

According to Fredericks, the proceeds will go towards general funding and unique children’s programs. “We are interested in introducing children to music education and the orchestra,” she says.

The 2017 Premiere Market hours on Friday, March 31, will be from 10am to 6pm and on Saturday, April 1, from 10am to 4pm.

The Premiere Market will kick off Thursday, March 30, with a Paris-themed Sneak Peek Party shopping event from 5:30pm to 8pm.
