Partner/General Manager Jarbas Gottardo will open his new Brazilian steakhouse (churrascaria) this spring at the Caprock Crossing development in South College Station. His concept harkens back to the strong gaucho (cowboy) tradition of his upbringing on the southern plains of Brazil. The large family feasts of his boyhood led him into the restaurant industry 23 years ago; as a result, he has extensive experience running steakhouses and is delighted to introduce the Brazos Valley to “something they haven’t ever seen before!”
Texans love beef (nationally, we eat 271 lbs of meat a year per person), so a restaurant that serves an endless supply of five gourmet beef cuts, lamb, sausage, and ribs is sure to delight the local restaurant crowd. Gottardo is certain that the unique preparation and serving (meat is delivered to tables on hot skewers and carved directly onto patron’s plates) will astound first time visitors and keep them coming back.
The salad bar will delight those looking for fresh greens and lighter faire of the same high quality. Traditional dishes: polenta, cheese bread, heart of palm, charcuterie plates and the national drink of Brazil (the Caipirinha) will set Casa do Brasil apart. This fine dining experience will likely draw patrons from northwest Houston in addition to the local market.
Casa do Brasil’s 216 seat dining facility is perfectly suited for private parties and special events. The 45-seat bar and adjacent outdoor patio add even more capacity. They will offer a unique lunch experience for the business community and of course turn up the bossa nova beats once the sun drops over the horizon.
Contact Casa do Brasil at (979) 690-1111 and visit them on the web at www.casadobrasil.com. Visit in person for an exceptional dinner at 1665 Greens Prairie Road, College Station, TX.
