Based in East Nashville, lead singer Drew Holcomb and his wife Ellie are joined by Nathan Dugger and Rich Brinsfiels. Together since the release of their sixth album Good Light, the band has cemented itself in the folk music scene. Drew Holcomb and The Neighbors released their seventh album, Medicine, in January 2015. The album debuted at number 6 on the US folk charts and the group has continued to receive praise for their songwriting ability.
Drew does not hold back when he is writing a song; he uses personal experiences to create songs that will mean something to all his listeners. His aim is to tell a story that other people will relate to, and he does that by being honest about grief and the ups and downs that come with marriage. The honest lyrics, paired with the impressive musical abilities of the band, create an incredible listening experience. Of the album, Holcomb says, “it's not my first record, but it's definitely my favorite so far.”
