Saturday, the Fourth of July, start at 8am and shop for your Fourth of July necessities under the covered Jim Bishop Pavilion at Chesley Park where Palm Street meets Bell Street in downtown Bellville. Experience the Fresh Farmers and Artisan Market while enjoying a pick of fresh produce, organic grass-fed beef, local honey, farm fresh eggs (chicken and duck), oils and vinegars, fresh canned vegetables, jams and jellies, handcrafted soaps, beard oil, yummy fresh-baked sweets and treats, an area fundraiser, artisan creations, and more.
From 8am to noon snack on quick bites of a homemade Greek pastry, baklava, or some other treat, tea, coffee, or some fresh lemonade at the lemonade stand. Then head over to pick a fresh watermelon, cantaloupe, shelled pecans, or gallons of fresh sweet tea for a Fourth of July weekend picnic, plus farm-fresh eggs. At the Bleiblerville Education Extension Scholarship Fundraiser there are choices of whole pies, cakes, loaves of breads, and much more.
The event and parking both are free. Visit ‘Bellville Farmers Market’ Facebook page for more info and photos. The day before the market, a complete vendor list of products sold is posted. They can always make room for anyone selling produce or fresh items. Interested vendors can email marketday@bellville.com or text (979) 270-1434.
