Patriotic Pops Choral Concert Christ United Methodist Church Sanctuary Choir will present Patriotic Pops: A Musical Celebration of America on Sunday, July 3, 2016 at 6pm in the church sanctuary, located at 4201 Highway 6 South in College Station. This program is a gift to the community of Bryan-College Station from Christ United Methodist Church, so there is no charge. There will be a casual July 4th social time after the concert. Patriotic Concert at Round Top Festival InstituteThe annual Patriotic Concert at Round Top Festival Institute on Sunday, July 3 is sure to be a fun-filled event. The Texas Festival Orchestra, conducted by Perry So, will perform many favorites by American composers, including works by Aaron Copland and John Philip Sousa. After the concert, join your friends and fellow concertgoers on the west side of the concert hall for Blue Bell ice cream, courtesy of Blue Bell Creameries, Brenham. I Love America CelebrationThe 56th Annual I Love America Fourth of July celebration will be presented by the College Station Noon Lions Club at the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum at Texas A&M. The museum will be open from 9:30am to 8pm with free admission for everyone until the building closes at 8:30pm. Concessions begin at 5:30pm and live music entertainment at 6pm, including live performances by Xchange. The Kids’ Zone, complete with games and bounce houses for children, will be open from 6 - 8:30pm. The evening will culminate with a performance by the Brazos Valley Symphony Orchestra, led by Music Director, Marcelo Bussiki. The program will include patriotic standards like Sousa’s heart-stirring marches, a salute to the Armed Forces, and the explosive 1812 Overture. Fireworks on the BrazosThe Annual Fireworks on the Brazos will feature a free music concert from 7pm to 9pm in Washington-on-the-Brazos’ amphitheater, featuring Texas country artist Cody Bryan Band. The firework extravaganza starts at 9:30pm. HEB will host face painting, bubble stations, and other fun activities for kids. Food vendors will offer a variety of festival food choices. Kurten Fireworks ShowCelebrate Fourth of July at the Annual Kurten Fireworks Show and Fundraiser. This event offers residents the opportunity to meet and support firefighters and first responders who volunteer their time and efforts to the community, while enjoying a family-focused celebration.
