The Children’s Museum of the Brazos Valley is hosting Storybook Saturday on Jan. 28, from 10:00am to 5:00pm.
There will be activities for the children to enjoy including crafts, story time, and a chance to meet and take pictures with Pete the Cat. Regular admission charges will apply.
The schedule of events are as follows: 11:00am and 1:00pm meet and greet where visitors may take pictures with Pete the Cat and get Pete's autograph, 12:00pm and 2:00pm dance party with Pete, and at 12:30pm and 2:30pm story time with Pete. At the end of the event every child will receive a book to take home.
The Children’s Museum of the Brazos Valley is excited to debut a new addition during Storybook Saturday – the Little Free Library. The Little Free Library is a section in the museum where children will be able to pick out a book on their way in or out of the museum. Children are welcome to exchange books as they are ready for new ones.
There will be a ribbon cutting at 10:30am to announce the grand opening of the Little Free Library, which has been made possible by a generous donation from the April & Levi Douglass family. From then on, children will be able to take a book and leave a book as they please.
Storybook Saturdays feature a different book or author on the last Saturday of every month, made possible by Neighbors Emergency.
