The Clara B. Mounce Public Library is seeking authors for their event Meet the Authors Day, April 29, 10am-noon, in Bryan.
Published authors of all genres, in all formats and languages, and writing for all ages are invited to register. Authors will have the opportunity to meet with readers as well as promote and sell their work at the library. Unpublished authors are also invited to the event, but they must have firm publication dates for forthcoming titles to qualify for registration.
The deadline for free registration is Monday, April 24.
To help publicize the event on the library’s website, social media, and other community publicity venues, authors are required to send the following:
- A personal photo (via email)
- Brief personal information you would like your readers to know about you and the genres and formats you write—short stories, fiction, mystery, romance, science fiction, adult, children, young adult, graphic novel, nonfiction, etc.
- Author website and social media contact
- Titles and available formats—print, e-book, audiobook, e-audio, ISBN; forthcoming titles with firm publication dates may also be included
- YouTube book trailers for available and forthcoming titles. Send the YouTube link(s) to pnoynaert@bryantx.gov. Submit trailers for as many titles as you wish. Book trailer links should be sent no later than Monday, April 17, to allow time to update the library’s website
- If you write under one or more pen names, specify how you want to be listed on the library’s website
To preview what an author’s information will look like on the website, visit www.bcslibrary.org. Note that it will be titled “Meet the Author Day.”
For questions and registration, contact Peggy Noynaert at (979) 209-5622 or email pnoynaert@bryantx.gov.
If an author would like to participate in community publicity opportunities, such as radio interviews, give Peggy Noynaert that information upon contact.
