Downtown Navasota will be singing the blues at its upcoming Reds, Wheats & Blues Festival on Saturday, Nov. 9, from 2-6pm. The festival will follow the traditional Veterans Day Parade along Washington Avenue and VFW lunch festivities. The Reds, Wheats & Blues Festival is an afternoon of wine and craft beer tastings, great pre-Christmas shopping in the lovely downtown shops and boutiques, and live blues music. Check-in will be at the Navasota Visitor’s Center at the corner of Washington and Farquhar Streets. Attendees will receive a complimentary event t-shirt, a commemorative sampling glass, and event maps to guide you to the various displays of local wineries and breweries. You will be served samples in various spots around town, along with finger foods that will complement the drink samples. Also on display will be local art on the streets and two art gallery exhibits along with local food vendors to add to the festivities.
The event is underwritten by title sponsor Sterling Auto Group of Navasota with support from the Arts Council of the Brazos Valley. Tickets are now on sale and include participation at all festival activities.
