The production of Driving Miss Daisy on February 19 has been cancelled due to the treatment of an ongoing illness with one of the stars and they could not commit to the tour. This unfortunately happens sometimes in the business and is beyond the control of PWFAA. If you have a ticket for Driving Miss Daisy it will be good for the new show; however refunds for single ticket holders will be issued upon request.
PWFAA is pleased to announce a wonderful new show is coming to replace it, Robert Dubac’s “The Male Intellect: An Oxymoron?” ‘Hilarious’ is the only way to describe “The Male Intellect: An Oxymoron?” as Robert Dubac ransacks his brain to answer the age old question, "What do women want?" This hit one-man show pinpoints the differences between the sexes and then celebrates them with ninety minutes of non-stop laughter. It is a multi-character comedy with Mr. Dubac playing all the roles.
“The Male Intellect: An Oxymoron?” makes its appearance at the Crockett Civic Center for a limited engagement on February 19 at 7:30pm. Tickets are on sale now by phone at (936) 544-4276 or online at www.pwfaa.org or at the theatre box office on the night of the show. The Crockett Civic Center is located at 1100 Edmiston Dr. Crockett.
“The Male Intellect” has garnered envious reviews from San Francisco to Toronto, Chicago to LA. The Boston Globe proclaims, "Robert Dubac is talented, entertaining and very funny!" The Los Angeles Times says, "The show elicits big laughs from both sexes in waves of treble and bass,” while The Philadelphia Inquirer states, “The Male Intellect is adeptly conceived, refreshingly and comically stated and Dubac has no trouble keeping it up for 90 minutes." The Denver Post and Toronto Star both gave the show its highest four-star rating, raving “The Male Intellect is hilarious as it is thought-provoking…a brilliant show."
