SEAD Gallery and Bookshop is excited to host author Rhonda Brinkmann for their bimonthly Author Talk Series on Oct. 19 from 6:30-8pm during the Downtown Bryan Art Step. Rhonda is both a fiction and nonfiction writer, as well as a freelance editor. She owns her own freelance writing and editing business, Wordsmiths4u.
In her role as freelance editor, she takes on a variety of editorial projects and works in collaboration with authors, other writers and editors, and subject matter experts. She particularly enjoys working with academic manuscripts, start-up businesses, and up and coming authors. Rhonda’s background includes more than ten years of technical editing experience, nonfiction and educational writing, as well as publication in national, regional, and local publications. Rhonda is also an active member of Brazos Writers, the Writers League of Texas, and the Texas Association of Authors.
Under the pen name Rosalee Richland, Rhonda and co-author Cyndi Riccio, write novels in the Darla King Mystery Series. The two writers combined their separate fields of expertise and love of square dancing to create the Darla King Mystery Series that captures the imagination of dancers and non dancers alike.
Rhonda will not only be introducing the Darla King Mystery Series, including Right and Left Grand, Load the Boat, and Follow Your Neighbor, but will also be discussing the co-authoring writing and collaboration process. A mystery with an influence of square dancing, her books “intrigue mystery fans and also portray the warmth and friendship so often found in square dance communities," says Brinkmann.
Join SEAD Gallery on Oct. 19 in getting to know Rhonda Brinkmann as she discusses the Darla King Mystery Series as well as answers questions and signs copies of her books.
