Kinda Candid, an Aggie-owned and operated Selfie Museum, is set to open Wednesday, Oct. 13 in College Station. The locale has been described as one of the “most Instagrammable” spots in town. There are a variety of photo opportunities with 14 different creative exhibit spaces specifically designed to make guests dance, paddle a pink canoe, swing in a maroon room, or walk up 70's stairs. The space is made for play, creating wild images and video, and celebrates the creative content-creating spirit of social media.
The staff will help with posing, TikTok trend ideas, lighting tricks, and even help take photos or videos. Kinda Candid will be hosting private parties including birthdays, team building, photographer meet-ups, corporate events, sorority/fraternity events, and more.
Tickets can be purchased in-person, but booking online is encouraged. There is a 30-person capacity so that everyone will have enough time to experience all there is to offer in the one-hour timeframe their ticket is good for.
The founders include Robert Mwandia, an entrepreneur and local DJ, and Gavin Braman and Martin Hooper co-founders of Drift, a creative agency. Kinda Candid is located at 909 Harvey Rd. Suite C. Their hours are Monday to Friday from 4 to 10 p.m.; Saturday from noon to 10 p.m.; and Sunday from noon to 8 p.m. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit kindacandid.com.
