The Summer Sunset Concert Series at the Palace Theater in Downtown Bryan continues with KP and the Boom Boom on Thursday, June 11. This Austin band combines hallmarks of funk, soul, disco, R&B, jazz, and world music to bring a high-energy show sure to bring the audience to its feet. Frontwoman Kate Priestley is surrounded by six bandmates who, in addition to playing guitar, bass and drums, also add horns, a vibraphone, timbales, bongos, congas and other assorted percussion.
The concert is free, thanks to sponsor Texas Commercial Waste, and drink concessions are available. Gates open at 7:30pm. The concert begins at 8pm.
