Destination Bryan is excited to announce the recognition of Executive Director John Friebele, who received the 4 Under 40 Award at the 2021 Texas Travel Alliance (TTA) Unity Dinner in Austin. The award recognizes four individuals who stand out and are rising professionals in the Texas travel industry. The recipients were selected by the TTA Board of Directors for their individual leadership and commitment to the Texas travel industry.
“It’s an honor to be recognized with this award from the Texas Travel Alliance," Friebele says. "To me, it’s more of a testament to the passion I have for the travel and tourism industry, as well as the community I get to serve through my efforts. The desire to want to become the best professional version of myself that I can be stems from the fact that I enjoy what I do and who I do it for everyday. I appreciate and thank everyone that I’ve worked with along the way who has made me a better person and professional.”
Friebele has been in the Texas travel industry for over 10 years and, since July 2020, has served as the executive director of new destination marketing organization Destination Bryan. Destination Bryan promotes all attractions and businesses of Bryan to locals and visitors through tourism marketing and destination development. The organization also runs many events in Bryan such as First Friday and the Downtown Street & Art Fair, as well as various holiday events in Downtown Bryan.
