Two former Downtown Bryan Association staff members are set to continue their efforts in a new capacity with Destination Bryan, the community’s new destination marketing organization.
Katelyn Brown and Abigail Noel, both formerly with the Downtown Bryan Association, will join the Destination Bryan team beginning Oct. 1. Brown joins the staff as community engagement manager, and Noel will step into the role of public relations and communications manager.
Brown will be tasked with continuing the increasingly important relationships with downtown Bryan business owners while expanding the role to serve the entire city.
“I am extremely invested in the continual growth of downtown Bryan as a destination for locals and tourists alike, and [I] look forward to establishing new relationships and partners within the community in this role,” says Brown.
She will continue to take the lead on downtown Bryan’s staple events, including First Fridays and Texas Reds Steak and Grape Festival.
Meanwhile, Noel will foster valuable relationships between the organization and the media. She will also maintain the voice downtown Bryan has worked to develop over the past several years via social media, e-newsletters, and other communication channels.
"I am excited and looking forward to managing communications with our local media and community partners to amplify the voice of all attractions in Bryan,” says Noel.
The two join previously announced Destination Bryan staff members John Friebele, Morgan Key, and Chris Riggins.
“We’re excited to have Katelyn and Abigail on our team,” says Friebele, the organization’s executive director. “They’re going to play an important role in maintaining the growth and success they’ve already contributed to in downtown Bryan while expanding that effort throughout the entire community.”
Destination Bryan is tasked with marketing the community as a tourism destination. The team plans to promote attractions like Historic Downtown Bryan, Lake Walk Town Center, Aggieland Safari, Messina Hof Winery & Resort, and Texas A&M University – among many others. Destination Bryan’s goal is to stimulate economic impact throughout Bryan while telling the city’s story as a vibrant community that is rich in culture and proud of its heritage and diversity.
