Soon coffee lovers will be able to catch a quick caffeine fix without having to get out of their vehicles at the new Dutch Bros Coffee in College Station — the company's first Texas location.
The new coffee shop site at 12065 Wellborn Road is set to open in January. Customers will be able to order their drinks through a single-lane drive-thru window, and the College Station location will also offer pet-friendly patio seating. Its opening is hot on the heels of two other national coffee chains with new locations in Aggietown. Dunkin’ Donuts, across the street on Wellborn Road, held its grand opening on Monday, Nov. 23, and Minuti Coffee celebrated its College Station franchise's move from Northpoint Crossing to University Drive East with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday, Nov. 24.
"We're so excited to be part of the great state of Texas," says Bryce Schneider, operator of the College Station Dutch Bros. "We couldn't think of a better place to introduce ourselves than here, close to the community and a part of student life at Texas A&M.”
The new coffee shop is currently under construction, and its projected opening is early 2021, according to a company representative. Customers will be able to order handcra
fted drinks from 5am to 11pm daily. In addition to specialty coffee, Dutch Bros serves smoothies, freezes, teas, a private-label Dutch Bros Blue Rebel energy drink, and nitrogen-infused cold brew coffee. Other popular drinks include the Aftershock Rebel (Dutch Bros’ strawberry, blackberry, raspberry, and lime energy drink) and a blended caramel mocha called the Caramelizer.
Dutch Bros is the largest family-owned drive-thru coffee company in the U.S., with more than 400 locations and 12,000 employees in nine states: Oregon, Washington, Utah, Idaho, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, and California.
