For the 2020 Tourism Impact Awards Ceremony, nine organizations/community members received recognition for the impact that they’ve not only had on the travel and tourism industry as a whole, but also on Bryan College Station and its economy. Those selected to receive an award were specifically nominated by the B/CS community based on their many selfless contributions and dedications.
Awards were given to those in categories falling under Marketing, Sports and Events, and Conventions, as well as an Exceptional Service Associate Award, Outstanding Service Provider Award, Community Champions Award, Howdy Crew Member of the Year Award, and Destination Development Award. Each of the awarded organizations and individuals were nominated and selected based on their exemplary work ethic, efforts provided to the community during COVID-19, and willingness to put others before themselves. Awards presented are as follows:
- Marketing Hometown Hero Award – KAGS TV
- Sports & Events Hometown Hero Award – Mary Beth Henthorne (Texas A&M Assistant Professor with Health and Kinesiology)
