For more than two decades, the popular Starlight Music Series has attracted music lovers for free, family-friendly entertainment under the stars at the beautiful Wolf Pen Creek Amphitheater.
The spring tradition continues with three Saturday concerts featuring extraordinary country, Tejano, and classic rock artists.
The first event is on April 27, followed by shows on May 18 and June 1. Families, friends, and visitors can bring picnic baskets, coolers, blankets, and lawn chairs for three nights of fantastic outdoor fun and entertainment.
The gates open at 6 p.m., followed by the concerts at 7. Free parking is available at Post Oak Mall, with accessible parking near Colgate Drive.

Saturday, April 27
Uncle Lucius with guest Tyler Halverson
In 2018, Uncle Lucius stepped away from the spotlight after a whirlwind decade that saw the band release four critically acclaimed albums, wear out five vans, and perform from New Braunfels to Norway. They were some of Austin’s most celebrated exports, supported by a cult following that rallied around signature songs such as “Keep the Wolves Away” and “The Light.”
In the years after Uncle Lucius’ premature farewell tour, their audience multiplied, attracting a new generation of fans. “Keep the Wolves Away” was even featured in an episode of the hit TV series “Yellowstone,” earning gold and platinum certifications. As the band’s legacy grew, so did the desire to get back together.
After a five-year hiatus, Uncle Lucius made its triumphant return to the Texas roots music scene with the 2023 release of “Like it’s The Last One Left” – described as a cathartic comeback album that reunites the platinum-selling group and pumps new blood into its roster. Everybody wants to play cowboy, but Tyler Halverson doesn’t have to pretend. The South Dakota singer-songwriter has cowboy in his blood. He worked his family feedlot and showed cattle at stock shows and fairs nationwide.
Tyler always had the most fun at the rodeo and found a way to get in on the action without breaking any bones. Informed by his own experiences, he wrote plainspoken yet clever songs about the action outside the rodeo arena and played them for the cowboys and cowgirls competing on the circuit. David Lee Garza y Las Musicales with guest Los Palominos
David Lee Garza maintains a loyal following with a combination of progressive Conjunto and distinctive Tejano music formulas. After over 30 years in the business, David Lee Garza y Los Musicales has generated hit after hit with easily danceable melodies and an earthy blend of country, Tex-Mex, and straight-up Tejano.
David Lee’s unique accordion style is readily recognizable, and he’s collaborated with Grammy Award-winning artists such as Little Joe y La Familia, Jimmy Gonzales, La Firma, Bobby Pulido, Joel Guzman, Joe Posada, and Americana favorites Kevin Fowler, Cory Morrow, T Graham Brown, Johnny Rodriguez, and Johnny Bush. Los Palominos is a Tejano/Norteño group from Uvalde known for an innovative fusion of traditional sounds with modern elements. Los Palominos has been crucial in revitalizing and popularizing the Tex-Mex genre. The band’s music encompasses a wide range of styles, including polkas, rancheros, boleros, corridos, ballads, and cumbias, blending the classic sounds of accordion and bajo sexto with keyboards and samplers to create a contemporary and danceable sound. SA Lights (San Antonio Lights) is a 1980s Rock Tribute Band featuring full tribute shows to Journey and The Eagles while covering classic, Spanish, and country rock in performances across Texas and New Mexico. Concert Rules
Guests may bring refreshments, but no kegs or glass containers are allowed, and coolers must be 48 quarts or smaller. Food trucks are also available.
Chairs are welcome but not in designated blanket-only seating areas. Likewise, smoking isn’t allowed in the main seating area, but the city will provide designated smoking areas. Pets are not allowed.
