Winston Last year, the Aggieland Humane Society saved and placed 1,799 animals, had 141 active foster families, 718 active volunteers, and returned 134 tagged & microchipped pets to their owners. However, they still need your help to continue to provide humane shelter, care, and placement for stray and unwanted animals.
Whether it is through adoption, fostering, or simply spending time as a volunteer at the shelter, every little bit helps. Here are some of the events AgHS has going on this summer:
Camp Humane July 21-23, or August 4-6
Camp Humane is a day camp experience for boys and girls ages 8-12. Join AgHS for one of their camp sessions and enjoy one of a kind, hands on animal activities and education. Last year’s participants got to know all kinds of reptiles, learned how to feed goats and met all kinds of other furry friends. Registration is $150 and includes daily snacks, a Camp Humane t-shirt and all activities.
