Rey and I met through mutual friends in 2007. We only hung out a few times not knowing what our future would hold. A few years later we reconnected and before we knew it, we were spending every day together. We both enjoy being on the boat so we spent a lot of time bouncing from lake to lake around the area. Once we realized we loved each other, we couldn’t wait to spend the rest of our lives together! He is truly my best friend and I couldn’t ask for more.
My advice to future brides would be to get a planner as soon as possible. Amy at All Things Planned was amazing. She was there for us from the beginning and was always available to answer our questions, large or small. She made the planning process so easy and less stressful. The day of the wedding, she was out there early with her helpers and I don’t think they stopped moving the entire day. I honestly don’t know how the day would have gone on without them. It was the best decision I could have made.
I had a lot of design help from Ashley and Company, as well. I was not the type of bride that
knew exactly what I wanted. I had an idea and they helped put it all together. Pinterest helped out a lot, as well.
We decided to have a signature cocktail the guests could drink while we were taking pictures with the photographers. YoLanda at Traditions Vintage Rental & Event Design made sure to put that special touch with her talent, chalk board signs and rentals, which really tied everything together. I honestly feel so lucky to have chosen these ladies and I recommend future brides to put your trust in them; they know what they are doing.
