The 45th Annual Home & Garden Expo will be held from March 2-3 at Legends Event Center.
The family-friendly event provides an opportunity for new or seasoned homeowners to meet local businesses and learn how to make their dream home a reality. There will also be activities for kids, including a free arcade area.
“The event is for the general public,” says Rose Selman, executive officer of the Greater Brazos Valley Builders Association. “Someone renting, someone building and anyone that owns a home— it’s for everyone.”
With over 75 exhibitors in attendance, the Home & Garden Expo connects homeowners with local industry professionals in all walks of home and gardening needs.
“We have some really great outdoor oasis-type companies that will do landscaping,” Rose says. “We have pool companies. We have folks that offer things like flooring, blinds, window coverings and cookware. We also have gardening seminars by the Brazos County Master Gardeners.”
Other free seminars being offered include “Make your house a home for a lifetime” on March 2, led by aging-in-place specialists and “Remodeling 101” sessions on both Saturday and Sunday.
Additionally, there will be a succulent workshop, where participants will create a succulent arrangement and learn proper planting techniques.
Tickets for the 45th Annual Home & Garden Expo are available online at homeexpobcs.com or at the door for $5 for adults, $3 for seniors, and free entrance for kids ages 12 and under.
