More than 30 Texas artists and craftsmen will exhibit paintings, jewelry, sculpture, and more at the Downtown Bryan Street and Art Fair on Saturday, April 8, from 10am through 6pm in the 200 block of W. 26th Street. The Art Fair, now in its 8th year in Downtown Bryan, is also a featured event of the Texas A&M's Family Weekend.
A highlight of the day will be Steamroller Printmaking, an event in which teams of artists will create four-foot square prints in linoleum, with the design transferred to paper by driving the roller over the inked linoleum. Redtail Rental has donated the use of the roller for the fair in support of the arts in Downtown Bryan.
Live music will provide entertainment for fair attendees throughout the day. A hands-on art activity area for children of all ages will be located in the Village Cafe Alley, adjacent to the artist booths. Children will be able to make their own pieces of art to take home as a souvenir from the day. Other activities include a bounce house, balloon animals, henna tattoos, and face painting.
Admission is free and participants are encouraged to spend the day and experience all that Downtown has to offer. The College Station Noon Lions Club Jazz Festival will coincide with the Art Fair this year. Held at the Palace Theater on Friday evening and Saturday beginning at 10am, the Jazz Fest will feature 16 local and regional jazz bands. yan.com.

As a recognized Texas Cultural District, Downtown Bryan actively fosters the arts and culture. This fair continues to build on that by inviting local and regional artists to support the rebirth that is occurring downtown.
