The Downtown Bryan Association and The Arts Council of the Brazos Valley are partnering together for the 5th Annual Downtown Street and Art Fair. The event will take place on Saturday, April 12, from 10am to 6pm in conjunction with Texas A&M’s Parents Weekend in the 200 block of W. 26th Street.
The event features artists and artisans from across the region selling handmade creations, as well as live music. There will be a hands-on art activity area for children of all ages organized and sponsored by Purple Turtle Art Studio. Children will be able to make pieces of art to take home as a souvenir.
Over the last several years, Downtown Bryan has actively worked to foster arts and culture. The fair continues to build by inviting local and regional artists to support the area’s artistic rebirth. It is a fun opportunity for locals to support arts and culture in Brazos Valley and find one-of-a-kind treasures to take home.
Admission is free and participants are encouraged to spend the day and experience all that Downtown Bryan has to offer, from unique shops and boutiques to a wide variety of tasty eateries. Following the Street and Art Fair, the Downtown Bryan Association, in partnership with Allen Honda and Mix 104.7, is hosting a free showing of the classic movie musical, "Singing in the Rain." The movie will begin after sundown at 8pm at the Palace Theatre, located at the corner of 26th and Main.
