The 5th Annual Pride Film Festival is less than two weeks away.
It's an all-day, award-winning lineup of new LGBT films provided by Pride Community Center.
The festival starts at 12pm with a solid block of amazing short films: Queen's Mile, We Could Be Parents, Talking to My Mother, Cecil & Carl, Lightning Bugs in a Jar, and Spunkle. On hand to discuss Spunkle will be writer/director Lisa Donato.
At 2pm Pride will present the short, Mukwano, followed by the lesbian drama AWOL.
30 Days to Say Goodbye begins at 4pm, followed by the documentary feature Small Town Rage. Pride Community Center is pleased to have the folks behind Small Town Rage in attendance to answer your questions.
At 6pm, check out The Guy With The Knife, a documentary that hits very close to home. Former Aggie, Paul Broussard, lost his life in Houston, and a man was sentenced for his death. But was Jon Buice really the guy with the knife? What role did the media play? Join Pride for the screening and the Q & A to follow with director, Alison J. Armstrong.
Pride’s spectacular night of cinema concludes with the 8pm showing of Real Boy. Ben Wallace's long journey to being his authentic self is moving and affirming. Pride is pleased to welcome Ben to the festival and they know you will enjoy his question and answer session.

Pride will have concessions for sale as well, and all profits and donations go to Pride Community Center, a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit entity.
