Spend an afternoon filled with the Christmas spirit, Saturday, Dec. 14, from noon to 4pm, strolling the tiny town of Burton, population 300, located halfway between Austin and Houston.
Explore the Burton Christmas Market with hand-crafted local items, baked goods, and more at the Roy Winkler Family Pavilion. Enjoy a bowl of "Junebug’s" delicious turkey stew, crackers, and a drink. This longtime favorite dish is named for and by a local man who still lives in the memories of many!
Soak up the holiday spirit as kids of all ages decorate ornaments and gingerbread houses. Right on cue from 1 to 3pm, Santa will arrive for festive photos!
This event is presented by the Burton Heritage Society and Burton Chamber, in partnership with the Texas Cotton Gin Museum. All activities free except for food/drink and gingerbread houses.
