Don’t miss the free movie at Sale Park as part of Art Step in Downtown Bryan. Bring your blankets and chairs and enjoy Ratatouille beginning at 8pm. Art Step will be passing out stickers to estimate attendance, so grab one from a volunteer to help them count.
Stop by the Queen Theatre to purchase tickets for a drawing to win a porch swing made entirely out of salvaged wood from the Queen Theatre.
The swing was handcrafted by Andy Ramirez, a local retired fireman and TEEX instructor, and his brother, Bobby Ramirez. Tickets are on sale for the next few months and the drawing takes place August 31. T-shirts will also be on sale.

Carriage Rides
Enjoy a relaxing carriage ride through Downtown Bryan during the First Friday celebration from 6pm to 10pm.
The ride includes highlights of First Friday events, businesses in Downtown Bryan, and a few historical facts about Downtown. Bring your family, friends or a date – and don’t forget your camera.
Carriage Rides begin at the courtyard of the LaSalle Hotel. The rides are $25 for a group of 4 and $5 for each extra person. Call 979-778-3688 for more information.
Art Step Features
Follow the footsteps all around downtown to find original work by artists and artisans, live music from jazz to medieval to country, theater, artist demonstrations, and information about arts organizations.
Art Step, an art walk in historic downtown Bryan, began in June 2005, with two locations participating. There are now three Art Step events per year, each with a little different emphasis. For the June Art Step, the Arts Council and the wonderfully varied arts organizations affiliated with it will participate by performing, demonstrating, exhibiting or providing information.
