The Brazos Valley Fair & Rodeo is excited to announce a star-studded line up of entertainers who will be rocking the outdoor Main Stage this year.
“Our goal for the 2017 Main Stage was to have performers that appealed to a wide array of ages and audiences and with this year’s line-up we are set to deliver,” said Fiona Lockhart, Senior Manager of the Fair & Rodeo.
The Fair, now in its sixth year, is continuing to reach its goals of providing scholarships to deserving youth in the Brazos Valley with plans to continue growing the event each year. Set to perform this year are top artists from a variety of genres from pop to country.
Kicking off the Fair on Friday, Oct. 20, is the always popular Kevin Fowler. Steeped in the old-school charm of classic country music, amped up with a modern energy all his own, and steadily touring from one packed house of honky-tonk diehards to another, Kevin Fowler makes music on his own terms for the thousands and thousands of loyal fans he’s earned through the years. To see Kevin Fowler in concert is more than just a show: it’s an experience.
Saturday, Oct. 21, is the exciting young addition to the Fair’s line up, Radio Disney Music Award-Winner Sabrina Carpenter will perform. Carpenter, applauded in the acting world for her role as Maya Hart in “Girl Meets World”, Young Chloe on “The Goodwin Games” and guest star on “Law & Order SVU,” has stayed true to her first love of music. Her debut albums “Eyes Wide Open” and recent album “EVOLution” reflect her youthful exuberance. Carpenter’s current single “Thumbs”, has been pushing through to the Top 40 all across the country with a combined more than 100 million streams. She embarked on her first-ever, sold-out headline EVOLution Tour last fall, traveling to more than 35 cities in the United States. Internationally, she joined The Vamps as a special guest on their UK arena tour in May and performed on Ariana Grande’s worldwide Dangerous Woman Brazil tour dates in June. Carpenter is currently on The De-Tour – her second headline tour, which will hit more than 30 North American cities by its conclusion at the end of August. Prior to heading out on tour, Carpenter co-wrote and released her newest song “Why”, which Billboard hails as “extremely likable and highly promising of what’s to come.”
Finishing up the Fair on Sunday, Oct. 22, will be the Norteño hit sensation La Energia Norteña. The band is known for their romantic norteño music and incorpor
ation of saxophone, accordion, and bass. The band has hits on the Mexican Regional Songs Top 30 Chart and was nominated for a Latin Grammy for their 2016 hit “Me Dejaste Solo”.
