The wind section of the BVSO takes center stage Sunday, Nov. 14 at 5 p.m. in Rudder Theatre as Maestro Marcelo Bussiki conducts three compositions written predominantly for flutes, oboes, clarinets, bassoons, and French horns. Serenades for wind instruments by composers Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Anton Dvořák, and Richard Strauss will be featured.
Guests can learn more about the evening's repertiore at our BVSO's pre-concert talks hosted by Ann Thompson. These pre-concert talks guide audiences through the music they are about to hear, providing an enlightening look at the repertoire and composers before the performance begins. This informative 30-minute presentation is offered before each of their Classical Series concerts starting at 4 p.m. in the forum of the Rudder Theatre Complex. Talks are free for ticket holders and require no reservations.
Single tickets are $55 for adults; $30 for students; and $20 for children. Tickets include free parking at the University Center Parking Garage across from the Rudder Complex. After the concert, the gates will be open and guests may leave. BVSO encourages everyone to get there early to ensure there are no delays due to the parking process.
