The George Bush Presidential Library and Museum will host the College Station Noon Lions Club's Fourth of July "I Love America" Celebration July 4, 2015 at the George Bush Presidential Library Center at Texas A&M University.
The College Station Noon Lions Club has organized the event for more than 50 years growing from humble beginnings to now one of the largest July Fourth Celebrations in the Brazos Valley.
“For over 50 years, the College Station Noon Lions have been privileged to provide the community’s fireworks display marking our country’s founding,” says Diane Jones Meier, incoming president of the College Station Noons Lions Club. “The ‘I Love America’ 4th of July festivities is a time to remember and celebrate the freedoms and opportunities given to us by the Revolutionary War patriots and maintained and expanded by the generations that have followed them. It is also a time to have fun.”
The museum will be open from 9:30am to 8:15pm with free admission for everyone all day; building closes at 8:30pm. Concessions begin at 5:30pm and live music entertainment at 6pm, including live performances by Katye Hamlin and Bret Graham. The Kids’ Zone, complete with games and bounce houses for children, will be open from 6pm - 8:30pm. The evening will culminate with a performance by the Brazos Valley Symphony Orchestra and a fireworks show.
