In celebration of National Farmer's Day, they have teamed up with Ronin Farm & Restaurant to bring guests a special, farm-fresh giveaway. Located a little south of Lake Bryan, produce from Ronin is just about as local as you can get. The farm serves as the center of food production for their restaurant, Ronin, located in Downtown Bryan. One lucky winner will receive a $75 gift card to Ronin Farm & Restaurant. Stop by the Lake Walk tent for a chance to win.
Show Your Tote
This season, The Local is introducing a social media contest designed for participants to show off what's in their Local tote bag. Share photos of how you use your tote by using #mylocaltote on social media. If you're socials are private, direct message The Local your entries.
Pumpkins Are Here!
Thanks to BCS Habitat for Humanity, Lake Walk will be able to use some pumpkins for their fall photo display. To purchase pumpkins of your own, The Local encourages you to visit the Faith in Action Pumpkin Patch located at 2301 E 29th Street. Funds raised from this patch help sponsor and build homes for families right here in the local community. The Polaroid Studio will be at Lake Walk next Tuesday, Oct. 19, taking free family portraits in the pumpkins.
