Century Square invites the community to plenty of summer fun in June, July, and August. Bryan College Station’s mixed-use destination center will continue many of its regular events throughout the summer months in addition to extra seasonal outings.
Grab a blanket for the Century Square Cinema Summer Movie Series, held from 8:30 to 10 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month from June-August. The first film will be “Frozen II” shown on June 17. Viewers can arrive early at 8 p.m. to meet Anna and Elsa before the movie starts at 8:45 p.m. The second installment, “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days,” will be shown on July 15, and the series wraps up with “The Sandlot” on Aug. 19.
The third Thursday of every month brings additional family fun with Discovery on the Green from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Hosted by the Children’s Museum of Brazos Valley, the event encourages young children to learn and develop as they play movement games, participate in song and dance, and enjoy hands-on activities.
The Green will host additional visitors throughout the week for a variety of Century Square occurrences. Every Thursday from 7 to 10 p.m., trivia fans can test their knowledge with Trivia Night and win prizes. The free event features questions about sports, history, music, and specific categories like cartoons, architecture, and fashion. Bring your water, a mat and a friend to Yoga on The Green every Saturday from 9-10 a.m. This free hour of community yoga practice is hosted by Yogi Momo, and participants can hang out and shop afterward.
To end the week, Century Square offers several music events. The Front Porch Series, held every Friday and Saturday from 7-10 p.m. at The Front Porch, is a feel-good music series with a tribute to Aggies Robert Earl Keen and Lyle Lovett. Every performance will feature different local solo and duo artists. The live music continues Sundays with Sunday Night Live on The Green from 6 to 8 p.m.
