First Friday Art Step
Be in Downtown Friday for ArtStep – a bigger version of Frist Friday with more art, music and something fun for every age. Movies with Madden's will show Despicable Me in Sale Park starting at 7pm. The movie is FREE and Madden's Street Cuisine will be onsite to cure the munchies. This month's movie is sponsored by the TAMU Center for Teaching Excellence. Check out the ArtStep link on the Downtown Bryan event calendar for a list of participating merchants and music locations.
Also this Friday you can help BISD reach their goal of sending every elementary school child home with a book by bringing a new or gently used book to one of the numerous drop locations Downtown. Visit DowntownBryan.com for more details.

First Sunday Jaz Jam
Now in its thirrd year, the Greg Tivis "Nawlin's" Jazz Jam Session at Downtown Uncorked continues to attract musicians and jazz fans from all over the Brazos Valley. Every First Sunday of the month folks stream through the doors of Downtown Uncorked for a taste of America's musical heritage, New Orleans style. The Greg Tivis Dixieland Band kicks it off at 6pm with some foot-stompin' early 20th century Mardi Gras tunes, followed by an evening of jazz musicians and vocalists "sitting in" and struttin' their best stuff. It all happens from 6pm to 9pm, every First Sunday at Downtown Uncorked, 206 W 26th. Arrive early for a good seat.
