The Arts Council and the Brazos Valley Food Bank, Inc. will host Empty Bowls, Jr. on Saturday, March 1 from 10:30am to 2pm at the Arts Center, located at 2275 Dartmouth Street in College Station. Students from 19 Brazos Valley schools have created handmade bowls to donate for this event. A donation of $10 is requested for each unique bowl, with all proceeds benefitting the Brazos Valley Food Bank, Inc. and Arts Council of Brazos Valley. This year, students of all ages from Allen Academy, Bryan ISD, College Station ISD, and Franklin ISD have been working diligently to create bowls for Empty Bowls, Jr.!
Individuals who make a donation for a bowl will be served a simple meal of soup and bread as a reminder of all the empty bowls in the community. Member restaurants of the Taste of B-CS will donate their delicious signature soups for this event. Stop by, pick out a bowl, make a donation and enjoy soup and bread from Blue Baker, Casa Rodriguez, C&J BBQ, J. Cody’s, The Lemon Wedge and The Village Café. The Taste of B-CS will also be extending a special offer to visitors at Empty Bowls, Jr: purchase a bowl and receive $10 on your Taste of B-CS Rewards Card!
