The Arts Council and Prosperity Bank invites you the join them on Feb. 25, from 11am-2pm at Prosperity Bank - Bryan East located at 3333 University Drive East in Bryan to help end hunger in the Brazos Valley.
This year, students, and art educators from more than 20 Brazos Valley schools have created hundreds of handmade, artistic bowls to donate for this event with the purpose of “kids helping kids.” A donation of $10 is requested for each unique bowl, with event proceeds benefitting local student food pantries and the youth programs of the Arts Council.
Individuals making donations for bowls will be served a simple and delicious meal of soup and bread, generously donated by participating Taste of Bryan College Station member restaurants, as a reminder of all the empty bowls in our community. Participating restaurants include: Amico Nave, Blue Baker, Cafe Eccell, Carney’s Pub, Casa Rodriguez, Shipwreck Grill, and The Village Café. The event will have local favorite radio personalities at the event serving the meal along with live musical performances by local school groups.
The Arts Council extends a special thanks to participating students, teachers, and this year’s event sponsors who help make this event possible: Prosperity Bank, Bryan Broadcasting, Taste of B/CS, and Texas Commercial Waste. Family, friends, and neighbors are welcomed to this event that will help fund in-school food pantries. For more information, visit acbv.org.
