If you've been to the Bryan/College Station Chamber of Commerce's annual Epicurean Extravaganza: A Taste of Aggieland before, you'll find the same smorgasbord of tasty offerings by area restaurants as in previous years, but you'll also some find some new treats including an Iron Chef contest and a hot-wing eating contest. This year's event is on Tuesday, March 6, at the Brazos County Expo Complex and will allow local restaurants, caterers, and beverage distributors to showcase their delicious food and drinks while offering diners a "one-stop" sampling of local fare. Some 42 different booths will be set up allowing hundreds of visitors to stroll by and get a taste of some of the appetizing cuisine each restaurant has to offer.
General admission tickets are $25 per person. A Premium admission ticket is $50 and allows early entrance to the event at 5 p.m., a large plastic plate to enjoy the food at your convience, two beverages tickets, and seating in a reserved section. Funds raised at this event are used by the B/CS Chamber of Commerce in support of local youth programs and education with a portion of proceeds also going to the Brazos Valley Restaurant Association to help fund scholarships for culinary school students.
