Fifteen Texas craft beer breweries, including local favorites Blackwater Draw and New Republic, will offer their one-of-a-kind firkins for tasting at Firkin Fest on Saturday, March 30, in Downtown Bryan. The event features real ale - beer brewed under natural conditions and served from the cask in which it is fermented, called a firkin.
The event takes place at Blackwater Draw in Downtown Bryan from 2-6pm. A ticket includes a tasting glass and eight sampling tickets, each redeemable for a three ounce pour. Additional tasting tickets will also be available at the event. Sponsor partner The Zone - Sports Radio 1150 AM will be serving up pretzel necklaces at the event.
Tickets are now available online. Early bird tickets are available from Feb. 12 - March 8 for $30. General admission tickets are available from March 9 - 29 for $35. Day-of tickets will be sold if available. Early purchase is recommended, as there are a limited number available based on the amount of beer brewed for the event. Firkin Fest is a 21 and older event.
