Now in its 22nd season, Friends of Chamber Music presents ensembles and musicians of exceptional national and international renown with the goal of each concert providing a unique musical experience for everyone to enjoy free of charge. Funded by donations and fine arts grants, all concerts are open to the public. Friends of Chamber Music also provides professional babysitters to families with little ones.
All participating musicians are required to make a presentation to music programs at local schools. On occasion, musicians also perform mini concerts for children and local retirement communities. Students, families, and the public also have the opportunity to meet and to talk to the musicians after each Friends of Chamber Music performance about music, performing and any questions young musicians may have about the career.
This season, all performances will be held at First Presbyterian Church Bryan, and are separate from the Concerts on Carter Creek series held in the same location.
