The Downtown Bryan Lighted Christmas Parade steps off at 6:30pm on Friday, December 11. Some 35 entries will participate in the evening parade, which starts on the north end of Bryan St. at 24th St. The parade continues south on Bryan, turning north on Main St. at Gloria Sale Park (28th St).
Bryan Mayor Jason Bienski will lead the parade through Downtown Bryan, which is illuminated by thousands of lights during the holiday season. All parade entries will have lights on them, adding to the festive atmosphere. The Bryan Fire Department will bring up the rear with special guest, Santa Claus.
Downtown streets will close at 5:30pm and traffic on William J. Bryan Pkwy will be re-routed for the duration of the parade. Streets are expected to re-open no later than 8pm. Vehicles parked on Main and Bryan streets will not be allowed to exit until the conclusion of the parade.
Parking is available in the Roy G. Kelly garage at 27th and Texas Ave. For more information, visit downtownbryan.com.
