To commemorate Memorial Day, the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum is offering free admission from May 25 to May 28 for active duty members of the U.S. armed forces and up to five family members for each service member. This summer, the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum will join the George W. Bush Presidential Library in Dallas and the Lyndon Baines Johnson Presidential Library in Austin as Blue Star Museums to offer free admission to active duty military personnel and their families.
The Bush Library and Museum is also partnering with the Brazos County World War I Centennial Committee to present a tribute to the former students and graduates of the Agricultural and Mechanical College of Texas and those men from Brazos County who sacrificed their lives in service to our nation during the First World War. The memorial tribute features images with brief biographical sketches of each veteran. This exhibit is available for viewing in the Presidential Rotunda from May 24 to May 29 in conjunction with the City of College Station’s Texas Weekend of Remembrance, the World War I Centennial Commemoration and Memorial Day.
