The Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History presents King of the Court: A Tribute to Gary Blair at the Miramont Country Club on Friday, Jan. 11, 2019. The evening will begin with cocktails at 6pm followed by dinner at 7pm. It is a wonderful opportunity to thank Gary for all of the outstanding support he has given our community over the years. It will be an evening filled with great food, humorous and entertaining stories, music, and fun.
Reserved tables are currently sold out; individual tickets are $200 and guests may call the Museum and request to be placed on a waiting list. Cancellations do occur and seats will become available through Jan. 10.
Can’t attend, but want to honor Coach Blair? Contributions to the Museum in his honor will be recognized at the event.
Raffle tickets are also on sale for a stunning pair of David Gardner Designed 18 karat gold and diamond oval link earrings valued at $4,480. The drawing will take place at the tribute on Jan. 11. Attendance is not required to win. Tickets are $100 each; only 200 will be sold.

Coach Blair has been the head coach of Texas A&M University Women’s Basketball since 2003. He led the women’s basketball team to victory as the 2013 SEC champions, and took the Aggies to 12 straight NCAA Tournament appearances and four conference championships. Under his leadership the team has made it to the Sweet Sixteen five times since 2008. Blair has received numerous awards and honors, including being inducted into the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame in 2013.
Gary Blair is also very active in the Bryan/ College Station community. He established Coach Blair Charities to raise money for charitable organizations operating in Bryan/ College Station and surrounding communities, with a special focus on the Special Olympics-Texas.
Gary has two children, Paige and Matt; both currently reside in Arkansas with their families. He has three grandchildren, Logan, Lola, and Landry.
