The Arts Council Anniversary Party will take place on the evening of Saturday, April 27, from 6pm-9pm in celebration of the Arts Council’s 43rd year in the Brazos Valley. Guests will enjoy three signature cocktails, an open bar, and door prizes. Hors d’oeuvres by Chef Christopher Lampo of Christopher’s World Grille and gourmet chocolate and demonstrations by Executive Chocolatier Joshua Neubauer of the Chocolate Gallery will also be part of the evening's celebrations.
Live music by the Karan Chavis Band, Chris Puente, Erin Kost and High Maintenance, which includes the 2011 Texas State Mandolin and Banjo Champions, will continue throughout the night. Highlighting the abundance of art in the Brazos Valley, artists of a variety of disciplines will be on hand to create unique works of art including sculptor Payne Lara, Brazos Valley Artist of the Year, painter Greta Watkins, and many others.
In addition, guests will be able to participate in a Poetry Slam with local poets and purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win a 7mm David Yurman cable bracelet, set with pearls and diamonds, courtesy of David Gardner’s Jewelers.
Tickets are limited and going quickly at $125 each. Only the first one hundred respondents will be able to attend. All reservations must be paid in advance; no walk-ups will be accepted. Valet parking will be provided free of charge and casual attire is encouraged.
