Texas Reds presents local Americana artist, Joey McGee, in concert with full band on Saturday, Sept. 24, at 5pm at The Palace Theatre. He will also perform with sideman Tim Elliot on Sunday, Sept. 25, at 11:00am in the Acoustic Café.
McGee is a Texas-based singer-songwriter living in the Brazos Valley. A New Orleans native, his music is infused with a unique blend of soul, alt-country, folk, rock, bluegrass, blues - and a good dose Creole-Cajun spice.
As one of Texas’ up and coming Americana artists, McGee has been chosen two years in a row to participate in the “Rising Star” music competition hosted by Shiner Beer and KHYI radio station in Dallas, where he has been a judge favorite.
Currently working on his third studio project - Terlingua Taproot - McGee plans to release the album later this year. In early 2017 he will also kick off a tour throughout cities in Texas, Louisiana, Georgia, Florida, and Southwest Pennsylvania.
