The Millican Reserve Land Conservancy will host its Market on the Green, a lunchtime market festival including live music and family activities, on May 25 from 10am to 2pm. The farmers’ market will feature fresh produce from Brenham's Home Sweet Farm, dairy products from Mill-King Creamery, baked goods from Great Harvest Bread Co., and homemade ice cream from Ronin Cooking, among other offerings. Freshly harvested strawberries and tomatoes, as well as local honey, are expected to be springtime market favorites. Hullabaloo Diner will provide lunch and local groups Rio Brazos Audubon Society, The Urban Interface, and the Brazos Valley Texas Master Naturalists will be on hand to introduce guests to Millican Reserve’s rich and diverse wildlife.
“Our mission is to build healthy community around nature,” states Johnny Myers of the Millican Reserve Land Conservancy. “We are pleased by the enthusiastic reception our outdoor markets have been getting. We are laying the groundwork for a refreshing, authentic place in south Brazos County.”
The Market on the Green is located at 19851 FM 2154 College Station, 77845. For more information, visit marketonthegreen.splashthat.com.
