Messina Hof’s 38th Annual Harvest Festival in Bryan officially kicks off Friday, July 31. For all wineries, Harvest represents the birth of a new vintage. A cherished tradition in many winemaking regions around the world Harvest is a joyous celebration. Messina Hof is proud to bring that tradition of hand harvesting and stomping to the Brazos Valley offering guests a truly unique experience. The Harvest Festival lasts throughout the month of August, and along with picking and stomping, celebrations continue with a variety of nighttime events.
Other Harvest Celebrations include a Parisian Murder Mystery Dinner: Last Train to Paris, Saturday, August 1 at 7:00pm, where guest will travel back to 1940 aboard a luxurious railway car on the last train leaving the city, when tragedy strikes…murder.
Messina Hof is well-known for its Murder Mysteries which are their own brand of “dinner theater,” that date back to the Middle Ages. Guests would dine and enjoy entertainment from actors and storytellers. However, at Messina Hof’s Murder Mysteries, guests are the actors and storytellers. Before the date of the event, each guest will receive a character assignment. For example, attend Last Train to Paris, and you could be Mr. Khover T. Ageante, a distinguished gentleman with questionable business concerns that keep him moving between Berlin and Paris. Or will you be Barbara Z. Enhussie? Barb is rich, spoiled and beautiful. One has to be when daughter of a French perfume king…
Each Murder Mystery Dinner led by an equally thematic host, who will “set the stage” so to speak and guide you through the story. Not only will you be treated to a fabulous three-course dinner, but each course is expertly paired with one of Messina Hof’s award-winning wines. In between each course, each character will be able to interact and collect clues as to who the murderer is. Or is it you? If so, make sure you’re clever enough to avoid suspicion..
If you would like to attend this Murder Mystery set in the “City of Lights,” you can purchase your tickets at http://www.cellarpass.com/38th-annual-harvest-festival-tickets-853. Reservations are required. A member of their Designer Events staff will follow up with your character assignment and costumes are highly encouraged.
