Knights of Wu Man
Thursday, February 21
7:30 PM • Rudder Auditorium
The world's premier pipa virtuoso, WU MAN, is the leading ambassador of Chinese music. (The pipa is a lute-like instrument with a history of more than two thousand years!) The Grammy Award-nominated artist's adventurous musical spirit shines through in this collaborative performance with THE KNIGHTS, a contemporary orchestra from a broad spectrum of the New York music world who creatively engage audiences in the shared joy of musical performance. Led by an open-minded spirit of camaraderie and exploration, they expand the concert experience by showcasing their roots in the classical tradition and their passion for musical discovery.
