For two glorious weeks the Navasota Theatre Alliance presents the family holiday favorite, A Christmas Carol, a live community theatre musical production at the Sunny E. Furman Theatre in historic downtown Navasota.
"What a wonderful way to capture the holiday spirit through the joy and merriment of Charles Dickens’ enduring tale of hope and redemption," said NTA Board President Sheryl Brown. Ebenezer Scrooge, with the assistance of three special ghosts, journeys through his past, present, and future to find the importance of family, friendship, and love. Brimming with rousing musical numbers, splendid costumes, and comedic bah humbugs, A Christmas Carol will offer you a wonderful theatrical experience sure to raise your spirits.
"I'm delighted to share this beautiful story with our audience," said Navasota Theatre Guest Director Earlene Rainey. "The songs and fabulous costuming makes it all the merrier. With 33 cast members of all ages, this musical will bring pure Christmas joy to everyone who joins us. We are sure to sell out every performance." Rainey most recently directed NTA's 2018 Youth Summer Theatre Camps, and last fall the stage blockbuster Steel Magnolias.
NTA's 2018 season is sponsored by a major gift from Gary and Mavis Anderson. Additional support provided by Gessner Heating & Air Conditioning, LLC. Made possible by the Hotel Tax Revenue funded by the City of Navasota through The Arts Council of the Brazos Valley.
The Navasota Theatre is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and is located at 104 W Washington Avenue in Navasota.
