The Arts Council of Brazos Valley and the Global Event Group host the Opening Reception of Vibrant, Timeless Scenes by local artist Bets Davis.
Davis has developed a style of paintings that combines realism and impressionist art. Her intrigue with natural forms and preoccupation with colors have evolved into a natural progression of fresh, vibrant depictions of floral and garden subjects.
“I’m tremendously inspired by nature," says Davis. "Flowers and trees have always been the most inspiring and pleasurable segment of nature for me."
The Opening Reception for Vibrant, Timeless Scenes will be Thursday, May 5, from 6-7:30pm at the Kyle House located on 800 S. Bryan Ave in Bryan and will be available for viewing through July 28. Pieces are available for purchase.
