The Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History proudly announces its current exhibition, Capturing Time: The Story of Early Photography, on display until May 30. This fascinating exhibit showcases rare and beautiful vintage cameras, photographic equipment, photographs, original Hubble glass plates on loan from Carnegie Institution of Science, darkroom materials, and more circa 1850-1950.
Explore the science and history of photography and discover how early cameras worked, while enjoying this exclusive display. Visitors can also experience the unique opportunity of a simulated late 20th century darkroom complete with vintage materials used in film development.
The Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History is committed to promoting science and cultural and natural history through the integration of art in exhibits and educational programs. This exhibit was made possible in part through Hotel Tax Revenue funded from the City of College Station through the Arts Council of Brazos Valley.
